New to Jags in Texas, U.S.

Post by Lapk78 » Sun Dec 10, 2023 8:05 am

Hi All. Intermediate bedroom guitarist here. I just purchased my first offset, a Squier Classic Vibe '70s Jaguar. I'm loving the feel, especially the scale length. However, even though it arrived new from Guitar Center, double boxed, with the inner box unopened from Fender, it arrived in horrible condition. Oxidized frets, rusty strings, and the neck is all out of whack. I will definitely be posting questions about how to improve this thing to get it to where I want to be.

Happy to be here, and thanks for any advice anyone is generous enough to share with me.

We got some Texas folk on here. I'm in Galveston. Copacetic is a popular refinisher on here, he's in Austin. Where are you located in the great state?
