Embryonic Stage Jazzmaster Owner
Embryonic Stage Jazzmaster Owner
I'm a future owner of a '59 Jazzmaster Thin Skin Reissue. At least, I think I am. I put a deposit on a white blonde on Friday. So my Jazzmaster is laying about in pieces somewhere in the world, waiting to be put together. Heck, it could still be a plank of wood for all I know.
It's great to see a healthy community of Offset Waisters. See you on the forum.

Congrats!!
I have a feeling these '59 thinskins are going to fly off the shelves and wind up being guitar porn on this website!
Ill never forget my first deposit on my offset, the world seemed to creep by in slo-mo afterward!

Dave's Guitars. A friend of mine bought from them and had a really great experience.RumorsOFsurF wrote: I put my deposit down, too! Who did you buy from?

I'm buying mine from Music Machine. They're within driving distance, and more importantly, fellow forumite and cool dude "B" (Brett) works there.
I highly recommend dealing with him. He's a pleasant guy, as well as a fellow Jazzmaster enthusiast.

They were sold out of the one I wanted, unfortunately. Had to put my money into the heartland.RumorsOFsurF wrote: I'm buying mine from Music Machine. They're within driving distance, and more importantly, fellow forumite and cool dude "B" (Brett) works there.

Why the three dealers with these Thin Skins? Are they special in some way?

I don't know why Fender distributes the Thinskins only to them. They probably all cooperated to create enough demand for Fender to produce these specialized runs.
