First off, thanks for adding me to the group!
Anyhoos, I acquired a '63 Jaguar back in September. It's all there, however it was stripped bare to natural wood, back in the 70's and at some point was previously painted red, by the looks of the cavities. Also, the high E tuner was replaced with a mid 60's double-line Kluson and tremolo bar is new too. The pickguard and control plate screws were replaced with newer ones and also has newer strap buttons. But the fact that it had the original tortoiseshell pickguard, leads me to believe it was originally a sunburst. So I took her to Fiesta Finishes in Berkeley and had her painted (matching headstock too) in Burgundy Mist Metallic Thin-skin Nitro. I sold the tortoiseshell pickguard and put a newer Fender Mint green p/g on instead to match with the Burgundy.
The question I have, is how much can I sell it for?
Thanks,
Ian C.

Wow. Lots of great stuff going on there. The burgundy. The figured neck. Very cool.

Re: 63 Jaguar
Why sell it?
I'll be honest and say you probably won't recover the restoration costs, given that it wasn't returned to "original".
That's the weird thing about Fenders. Originality brings top dollar.
But still, why sell it? are you unhappy with it? Or have you fallen out of love?
