Long time lurker, and finally created an account as I'm in the beginning stages of building a jazzmaster.
My first real guitar was a CIJ 62RI in candy apple red w/ matching headstock. It was stolen over 10 years, and I've always wanted to replace it.
Looking forward to the community and wealth of knowledge on this forum.
For anyone who is near the Asheville area, I'm in Brevard.

Good luck with your build! I used to live in Asheville and did a clinical at Transylvania Regional hospital. Used to hike Looking Glass regularly and miss that area very much. What kind of amp are you going to pair with that JM?

Wow, small world! It's beautiful here for sure.
I've got an AC30 and Fender Twin. I played my last JM through the Twin when I was a teenager. I mostly play Teles through the AC30 these days and would likely play the JM through it as well.

Well that ought to be a good pairing! Worked out pretty well for Tom Verlaine. I'd love to see photos of your build and hope it goes well for you.derekstudt wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 8:15 pmWow, small world! It's beautiful here for sure.

Did you get that Rosser body for your build in yet? Waiting to see the pics.
