Scottish Teenage Offset Fan

Post by SadFuzz » Sat Nov 18, 2017 8:28 am

Hello
New to the forum. Got into Jaguars/Jazzmasters thru mbv, j mascis etc
Tried one a year ago and GASing.
Can't afford a good quality fender one though.
Wish they'd release a standard model with traditional specs.
Any advice welcome.

Get a Squier VM then slowly upgrade to better parts. Locking trem unit and pickups should get you close as makes no difference. Lots of guys on here have done the same and most have been happy with the results.
What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

Welcome, and ditto this advice. There’s a lot you can learn in setting up and modding an inexpensive guitar that will save you headaches and money down the road.

Dude try to get your hands on one of these Squier Jarman signature guitars. I think there's quite a lot of em in the UK. Best for the buck!

Thanks I made my current electric guitar from scratch so upgrading the Squier VM seems an attractive prospect. Thought about getting a second hand classic player jazz (its the one I'm drawn to more) and swap out the pickups to Antiquities or similar.
