Greetings and Salutations

Post by blurthelines » Thu Apr 13, 2017 11:17 am

Hello Offset forum folk,

I've been lurking and learning after acquiring a Squier Bass VI last month. A week ago I scored an incredible deal on a E+6 MIJ Vintage White Jazzmaster for $350 shipped (with case). I like to think it was MIJ the same year I started playing guitar (1985). Admittedly it belonged to a friend/former band mate and it had been sitting for about 13 years since the last time I played it in his band. Unfortunately the years sitting were not kind.

Upgrades / Fixes so far
  • Ground issue in Rythm Circuit - Circuit bypassed for now
  • Jack Replaced
  • Shield cavities - had no tub/no paint
  • Installed bridge from my Bass VI (replaced with wide Staytrem) until my standard Staytrem comes in.
I picked up a loaded TVL pickguard that I hope will fit with minimal adjustments. If not I'll use the pickups and wiring (for now) and sell the guard.

Anyway...that's my story.
