Braving the ~festival crowd~ Dec 15-17 at Day for Night. I'll be skipping the NiN and James Blake to catch:
GAS
Forest Swords
Tim Hecker
Andy Stott
Demdike Stare
Faten Kanaan
Houston usually gets the coldest of shoulders as most electronic acts fly over everything between the coasts (or at best between New Orleans and Austin), so while the festival setting isn't ideal I'm excited to get a lot of shows I've desperately been wanting to see checked off the bucket list.
Cherry on top is that it starts the evening after my final term exams
Thats' some lineup. I'm festival allergic and even I'd be thinking on braving the facepainted hoards. Though with most of that lot I'd be wanting a chair.
D
Are you loathsome tonight?

Just booked my tickets to see Myrkur do her "folkesange" show in Leeds. I was undecided about going to Leeds or London for it, but it turns out my cousin lives quite close to the venue in Leeds and has offered to put us up for the night. Really looking forward to this one!

Going to see The Killers with my girlfriend on the 19th...
It's a big thing to cross off the list. First I saw Gary Clark Jr, now The Killers, next up BASTILLE, Rival Sons and Greta Van Fleet.
I'm in Marching Band and play Guitar. That's about it, pretty boring, isn't it?

The Myrkur "Folkesange" gig was pretty amazing. Hope she does more of this kind of thing.

Shows coming up so far in 2018:
Built to Spill (opening for Afghan Whigs)
MGMT
Thank You Scientist
Primus/Mastodon
Pixies (opening for Weezer)
I’d also love to see MBV in August but it’s ya know...in Tokyo which is a bit of a drive (across the Pacific Ocean)
