The Liminanas were in town

They put on a get show including the mad scientist guitarist up the back with a danoelecto '67,getting feedback, using a violin bow, hitting the strings with a stick and strumming the strings with a spoon.

Highly recommended

The support band was the Pink Tiles

Catchy guitar power pop.
They were really good.

Next month

Explosions in the Sky
Mike Stern

Looking forward to them
:)

Like WOW! I'm going to see Midori Takada locally in April ...this is a phrase I never thought I'd type. I've loved and recommend Through the Looking Glass for a very long time and regard it as among the finest Japanese albums but didn't even know if she was still alive.

Counterflows? Looks like a good line-up this year.

Last night's gig was extremely local to me - a mere ten minutes stroll from my flat to The Bungalow in Paisley for some very 80's-tinged electro-ey/gothy/post-punky action - my pals Kaspar Hauser and electro-chanteuse Hausfrau were opening for local synthpop band The Ninth Wave. White Jazzmasters and chorus pedals were very much in effekt.

I didn't know Hausfrau was playing, I really like her two EP's. I couldn't have gone anyway since Mrs S is away until tonight but the older kids would have probably went.

And yes Midori Takada is playing Counterflows.

Blue Oyster Cult, March 11 at the EQC ....

i really, really wanted to see BOC when the "Black & Blue" tour came through town in 1980 ... but i was a kid, and there was no way my parents were going to let me go see Black Sabbath .... :D

It was a good show.

The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.
