essentially a duet between an idling Land Rover Defender and an electricity substation
Purchased based almost exclusively on this description. Picked up 'Severe' as well... not sure how I missed them before.

Oh and they're just announced a tour of the UK and EU with BIG|BRAVE. Here's hoping they bring that pairing across the pond.

btw I was wrong on the download embargo. Mine is showing that's it's available.
Half your luck. My physical order has arrived here, but no download code for me. Thanks boomkat! >:(

I like that old time rock 'n' roll, don't try to take me to a disco.

Mine didn't show up until I emailed them and enquired... apparently there was some technological snafu or another, but they were quick to add it to my account.

No, it's notably absent from 'My downloads'. Perhaps they're confused about the 'embargo' concept.

If you like the new My Disco you might be interested in the new record on Downwards by Oliver Ho who usually trades as Broken English Club

Slow White Fall - Total EP (only shop samples). Scabrous peals of feedback, a sort of industrial disassembly of Popul Vul, sinus clearing battery acid squalling, ruminations on Raime's nastier sides and pullsating power electronic punch. Can be purchased at Boomkat and comes with a file.

What Boomkat say (very en pointe);
Oliver Ho debuts his brute, industrial & psychedelic drone project Slow White Fall for Downwards with half an hour of visceral synth and guitar distortion driven by slavish drums highly recommended if yr into works by Tony Conrad, Swans, Bourbonese Qualk, Throbbing Gristle...

The ‘Total’ EP is a bitter extension of Ho’s increasingly noisy forays into industrial musick found in his Broken English Club and Zov Zov outings of recent years. Gnashing right at the biting point, the five tracks here are soused in distortion to degrees recalling The VU, Swans, and Bourbonese Qualk, bringing Ho as far as he’s travelled from techno proper and closest to his formative industrial influences.

He fully commits to this sound with opener ‘A Blinding Light’, toiling booming drums and slavish hi-hats with electric blue raga drones in a way that resonates with everything from Tony Conrad to Clay Rendering, before ‘Releasing Together’ locks into a tantric vortex sounding like a duel between Throbbing Gristle and John Carpenter.

’Slate’ then returns to the amp worship with sanctifying slow riff distortion worthy of Dylan Carlson, while Ho’s plaintive vocals interject the sludgy crawl of ‘Our Eyes’, and ‘Vein’ sounds like he’s repeatedly stabbing a live 1/4” jack into industrial rock’s beached and bloated corpus, releasing noxious gasses that build into a tarry fug of guitar distortion. This is Ho at his most stare-down intense and timelessly, narcotically effective...
Btw it's even further Ot but if you like incredibly precise guitar mechanics ghost lit by perilous dub riddum phantoms you NEED Raime - Tooth.

Btw part 2...the Revenge. Raime on occasion trade as Moin and their EP on Blackest Ever Black is sure to appeal to fans of My Disco and anyone who has wondered what math rock riding on a chassis of broken kneed 'step would be like.

I really like Stacie with it's Death in June Samples (from here if you are curious).

Nice Music have released a remix EP of tracks from Environment... tinges of Scorn or the mid-90s Subharmonic/Sub Rosa output, at least on the first couple tracks (all I've made it through so far)...

Thanks for the tip, I love a bit of Scorn and I've weirdly been playing Ellipsis a lot lately.

Finally caught these guys live last night.

Fucking incredible, if they're playing live anywhere near you do whatever it takes to experience the live show. And seriously nice blokes too.
