Mueran Humanos - Miseress (album)

Post by shadowplay » Thu Nov 26, 2015 3:04 am

I guess this band has been bubbling under on OSG for some time (well Whisper-It and I like them :D ). I think I posted about them before they actually had a record out, it may even have included a MySpace link! I very seldom contact an artist to ask where the fuck their new material is but I dropped a line to MH a going on two years ago and the lovely Carmen got back to me with an 'in progress' and I'm delighted to finally have the record in my hands.

Such is my love for this band I have been dying for my preorder to hit the front door mat and I'm loving it.

They are an Argentinian duo, live in Berlin and sing in Spanish and I simply adore their black eyed, erotic and bruised post punk.

There's not much off the new record (out officially tomorrow on Atprecordings) out in the wild so I am going to supplement this with a selection of their other releases.

Mueran Humanos - Miseress

Mueran Humanos - Mi Auto

El Circulo 12'

El CirculoI don't speak Spanish but I think they might be summoning something (don't tell me otherwise). When I first dropped the needle on this it just kept building and building until I feared I might be sucked into a portal! And a live version, I've never seen them live and I'm very jealous of Whisper-it who has.

Culpable7' (single on Loader than War's label)

Mueran Humanos elpee

Leones en China the first thing i heard by them, it blew me away.

Horas Tristes

Festival de las Luces

They are dark but you can really get your tail feathers on to them too.

So any old fans, new fans or h@terz?

Oh and Bandcamp where you can buy files of the older material.

D
I like that old time rock 'n' roll, don't try to take me to a disco.

yes, love them! I think I discovered them through some demo (Leones en China?) you had posted here :)

Btw, the Miseress stream is available here, but since my copy was dispatched yesterday I'll wait for it to arrive, so I can enjoy the album in its full glory :)

I sent my pal Di a copy and she replied with a pretty good impression that's better than anything I could ever come up with; 'On 'Un Lugar Ideal'she's like a Spanish dominatrix forced to moonlight as an Aerobic instructor but still getting her kicks barking stern instructions into her head mike. FEEL THE BURN SLAVES! (whip crack) How fabulous and sexy thanks'.

Your (and, apparently, your friends') brief reviews/descriptions deserve to be collected!

Ok, now there are three of us, MH admirers, on OSG 8)

Kilgore/Ex Lion Tamer/Daniel liked them...that would make a Gang of Four was he not exorcised to the astral plane.

I remember you posted some of their material a while back, and it was great.

At the time, I mentioned them to a buddy that lives in Berlin (who is quite hip to new music), and he had never heard of them.

Don't trample me in the rush indie kids but there's a comfortingly baleful new Mueran Humanos elpee out called Hospital Lullabies.

It's in the shops, on thee Bandcamp and even on yootoob and I am reliably informed they are currently locked in a spiteful Blur Vrs Oasis style spat with Sobrenadar for primacy at the summit of the Argentinian hit parade.

Mueran Humanos - Hospital Lullabies yootoob

There's even a companion film that truth be told I'm unlikely to ever watch but full marks awarded for the ambition.

Mueran Humanos - Hospital Lullabies (Full Movie)

The previous respondees to this thread are sadly but a memory but perhaps there's some other old fans or even some fresh faced new ones.

I missed this the first time around I guess. I'll work through the old post's songs later but the new thing sounds great.

Great! If you look at the earlier stuff the epic El Circulo is a particular favourite.
