Great series, thanks for sharing. Matt Sweeney is the perfect host...unpretentious and sort of a goofball.

Weird ... missed this thread originally then YouTube threw this up as a recommendation last night (the Annie Clark one). Great videos ... didn't get a chance to check out a lot last night apart from St. Vincent and Josh Homme - but already messing around with a few things they showed on the videos.

I'm stealing that scale from JH for sure ... as well as that plucked harmonic thing from the St. Vincent vid. I like the presenter as well ... there's a nice laid back approach to the two videos I've seen so far.

Bumping an old thread as the original series slowly disappeared from YT a while back. Good news is that it's returning - from the YT description:
Guitar Moves is coming back, like this: right now friends are helping me build up a solid-assed Guitar Moves YouTube channel where all the episodes will officially live. I’m sayin there’s gonna be new episodes on there too. Same editor, the essential Andrew Reuland. Same ding dong host. There will be friends involved making the episodes. They will be good. There will def be some sick merchandise. And other hot action. All on the YouTube channel. Soon.

Your patience is gonna be appreciated- now it’s me and my friends making Guitar Moves happen, and the motto of my friends Fat Possum (without whom all this wouldn’t be happening) is “We’re trying our best.” And, for what it’s worth, your continued support and enthusiasm for Guitar Moves show.
Guitar Moves

Pretty excited Matt's reviving it - hopefully there will be a Bonnie 'Prince' Billy episode!

i feel like this goes without saying but matt was in a great post-hardcore band called chavez. highly underrated in my opinion.
offset guitars resident bass player.
