The Burning Skull by Cédric Pin/Glen Johnson a whole album of spoken word mausoleum dwelling industrial electronics gilded towards neo-classicism.
Marie Davidson - Work it this thread should probably be named the Marie Davidson thread since she in it so often and I've been banging about her on OSG since 2013 or something. Hilarious, tongue in cheek cringey and eccentric all at the same time.
I'm a fake ass worker, the sweat is never dripping down my balls, at least since i left ditch digging some time in the late 80's.

I didn't read through all 15 pages to see if this had already been mentioned, but Mewithoutyou and Listener are both bands who fall into this category. Also, there is a local band I'm fond of called Cathedrals (

Flux - Nothing is not done when this album was out in 86 or something most folk who liked Flux of Pink Indians totally hated it and it was a bit of a flop...I loved it. Still sounds modern.

Detox Twins - In the Deep Water off
Popcorn Lung: A Polytechnic Youth Collection (

Marie Davidson - À l’intérieur so darkly beautiful.

Bitch Magnet - Americruiser Guitarz...more like spoken mumbles than spoken word but pretty influential IMO for Mogwai and bands of that stripe.
