I think I'll post my band's myspace when I'll have some better recorded stuff..

Here's me gear! It's my own project, I'm playing everything. I'm in a band too, playing guitar and keyboard, we haven't set up any internets yet, though.

Pretty low-quality recording, and not all of the songs are necessarily finished, but I like getting my stuff out, so here it is.
I'm gonna be very ambitious and say that if you like The Flaming Lips, you might like my stuff, Steven Drozd's a huuuuge influence of mine. Other bands I'm following are Super Furry Animals, Radiohead, Sigur Ros... Maybe you'll like me if you like them... Pfft, just click the link!  :P

Some of the stuff I've found in this thread is pretty good! We've got quite the talented bunch on here!  :D

[Edit: Some of the MySpace profiles are really cool looking, as well as sounding... Any links to sites that'll tell me how to make mine sexy?]

i've got two projects.

http://www.myspace.com/redwaterrevival
the first, Red Water Revival, is my main gig. psychedelic rock. the flaming lips on motorcycles. four-piece (recently departed keyboard player) with two-guitars, bass, drums, three vocal. catchy, but unique. wierd lyrics (penned by yours truely), current influences range from BRMC to Blonde Redhead and Brian Jonestone Massacre to Sigur Ros. we released a record in December 2006 called In the Frostbidden Years, and are doing as many short little tours as we can. Hopefully someday we'll play in UK.

http://www.myspace.com/danielsecretkeeper
this is kind of an everlasting folk project, daniel h and the secret keepers. i record songs when i can. there is a great scene in St. Louis and alot of us are friends, so i always welcome collaborations from whoever is around or willing when i do these. i have recorded about 15 songs so far and plan to release a double album in early 2008. simple folk stuff influenced most by the great Bob Dylan and Ryan Adams.

Hey k o y l, I'm loving your stuff! I've just gotten into Sigur Ros, you sorta remind me of them, but with a darker edge, it all works so well! I'm loving your guitar sounds! The drum machines, too.

La Certitude Du Vide  :-*

Wow ! Thanks ! I'm glad you like it so much !  :)
"Sigur Ros with a darker edge"... it sounds pretty good !  8)
I'm working on a new version of La Certitude du Vide (wich can be translated as "the certainty of void" or "the guarantee of void".. it depends how you understand the sentence). I got fed up with the electro drums actually.. I re-did it all using exclusively sounds from everyday life (like kitchen tools, toys, machines and so on...)...it's ..different.  ???
I'll probably post a live-in-my-bedroom version on myspace sooner or later.

Pretty rough recordings and they are pretty old versions of the songs, but here it is www.myspace.com/theswivels.

Any bands that would want to set up gigs definitely message me and we will try to set something up.

This thread is great… so much good and different music around here, my favourite bands until now are Orange Yellow Red (these songs are brilliant, eggwheat!) and Ellis the Vacuumchild.

My main band is the duo FLInCH (www.flinchmusic.com), some kind of "dark electronic noise folk rock"… the most popular german music magazine "Visions" called our debut album "downstairs with Lou Reed and Tom Waits", another review said "they fill the gap between the Pet Shop Boys and Nine Inch Nails". I just call it good music from my heart and soul… I write the songs (except for the lyrics), play guitar and bass and sing the background vocals. Our 7-track EP "Freeze(versions)" is available now for free download (see website), the second album is coming soon!

I also play Bass in Vermillion (www.vermillion-music.de / www.myspace.com/vermillionsound), my bandmates grew up with rock and metal in the 1980s - but as a bassist I’m more into funk, reggae and chili peppers stuff, so I call our music "hard groove rock". Vermillion soundsamples coming soon...  :)

We usually let me make my demo first, then I show it to the rest of the band - haven't been able to do that yet for the second link.
