I went to see The Ponys and The Black Lips last night. Really good show.
The guitar player in The Ponys had a great sounding setup. He played an AVRI Jazzmaster (with a buzzstop and the bridge cover on) into one of those Victoria 4x10 Bassman copies, along with the Victoria tube reverb / tremolo unit. Wow - sounded great, and started my lust for a Victoria amp. Kind of on the pricey side though.
Anyone here have any experience with Victoria amps?
Oh yeah - guitar player in The Black Lips had a Jaguar, and the guitar player in the opening band (local Toronto band called Action Makes) had a Jazzmaster... The show was all offset, all the time!
