What are some scales to practice for surf music?

I usually use a pentatonic scale, sometimes w/ blue notes. Alternatively, some oriental scales can be useful.

Find some arabic tab,it has so many cool scales in it you wont no what to do with them all.
How do you think dick dale got so good! 8)
