They released their new single yesterday and it's gone straight to No.1 in ARIA download chart. You can listen to it here: linky
I'm not over keen on it, even if he is playing a rather tasty looking Tiesco (I think).
I OK with bands growing, but they've grown into something bad if you ask me. Although their ealier stuff is pretty good.
What do you guys think?

Guys that look tough and play pretty. I made it to about 30 seconds in and had to cleanse my eyes and ears with guys that look pretty and play tough.

I don't know anything about their old stuff, but I'm sure they'll make big stacks of money with this new song. It's a nice enough pop song and there isn't anything wrong with big stacks of money.

It does look like a nice Teisco he has got there though.
Bigger in sum than parts.

I used to love "frogstomp" when I was about 15/16, but I kinda went off them after that.

This new song is very Snow Patrol, I guess that's what sells these days. It is a nice enough pop song, if fairly inoffensive.

They're okay .. there's far worse stuff on the charts.

They started very young and kinda grew up in public, so they can be forgiven the odd misstep I think.
Distance-crunching honcho with echo unit.

oh man i love that teisco he´s playing :?
the song... sounds like rubbish to me.

i actually thought Neon Ballroom was pretty good when it came out. they were still young and angry, and had just started to find their own sound, instead of trying to sound like just another post-grunge-cock-rock band. i still get some serious goosebumps when hearing the intro of "Anthem For The Year 2000" :-[
