Penelope Trappes - Connector absolutely gorgeous like it's custom built for me.

Altered Images - I Could Be Happy (Dance Mix) by Martin Rushent. Spoke to Johnny McElhone when I was buying petrol and I got home and gave this a whirl...just because.

Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions - Into the Trees Hope(lessly) adrift on the great sea of Talk Talk.

Richard Skelton - River Song seems to fit the first Autumn day with a a little nip in the air. Keening drones and shivers like they are played on the bare branches, terribly beautiful.

Julia Holter - I Shall Love 2 picking this as it's the song with the video. I've not yet heard the full album and if I'm honest I'm not really in the mood for it. Mrs S has it on elsewhere but I was in the room to witness this tracks velveteen frosty spangle.

Nitzer Ebb - Control I'm Here (LFO Remix) relentless banger.

Faten Kanaan - Pendulum HQ DL heralding her new elpee Foxes and lovely as usual

Raime - See Through Me, I Dare You At the moment I'm not feeling this as much as earlier Raime like Tooth but I've not had enough time to really listen to it

Erland Cooper - Maalie (fulmar) I could have went with pretty much anything off this beautiful modern classical album (kinda reminiscent of Sigur Ros) so I went with the one with the video. Each track is named after a bird from Orkney using the original Orcadian name, Bonxie (Great Skua) being a long term favourite word of mine. There's also a digital only companion piece with William Doyle (East India Youth) called Murmuration.

Ike Yard - Tear Drop feat. Tropic Of Cancer

Zanias - To The Core (Unhuman Remix) I'm not too fussed with the other three mixes on this 12' but this witched out little darkwave rager hits the spot.

SKY H1 beautiful head over heels tumbling

Tor Lundvall - Safety in Grey

Control Unit - Bloody Language it's a spendidly nasty little seven but oh no that video should be banned for cruelty to Alfa Romeo's.

Dopplereffekt - Telomere like hundreds of minimalwave ants pouring out your speakas

Curses feat. Jennifer Cardini - Silence In The Dark hollowed out post punk sadness over a broken kneed garage clang. This is an absolutely cracking modern post punk album.

Grace Jones - Corporate Cannibal (The Bug Mix) BOOMBABLAST!

Emma De Angelis - Plankton fantastic obscure 70's Italian guitar fluttery.

Veronica Vasicka - From Here the new/old Veronica Vasica is bloody amazing across all the mixes

Veronica Vasicka - From Here (Regis Mix) Karl plays his

Veronica Vasicka - From Here Remixed by Chasm/Robert Hampson (MAIN/LOOP)

Siouxsie And The Banshees - Fireworks (12") remember remember the 5th of November

Stephen Mallinder ‎– Temperature Drop utterly imperious

Stephen Mallinder - Cool Down

Curses - Crucify IMO the best contemporary post punk album to smudge my eyeliner for some time, it's fucking magic and mostly a surprise when i think of his earlier material.

Curses feat. Perel - Gold & Silber (Chinaski Painkiller Bonus Mix)[/url] nowhere near as good as the exceptional original but a good listen nonetheless

Perel - Alles really great post punk tinged techo with the perfect talky/singy Fraulein vocals to send it over the top

Perel - Alles (Red Axes Remix)

Ritual Veil - Wolf In The Night pulled this out a bargain bin a few months ago purely based it being on AVANT! and having wold in the title. Windswept goths with the right kind of drum machine.

Mother of Mars - Seed 2 Sky (C.A.R.'s Warrior Rehash) totally reinvents the track with her own vocal

quite like that thanks

Probably not quite to the tastes of our favorite/favourite Glaswegian new music hound, but here is a band from Glasgow named Spinning Coin. To my ears, it has that sorta sloppy (early) Teenage Fanclub vibe going, and if you want to dig deeper, I'd even say there is some of New Zealand's 3Ds. I will always have a soft spot for such things.

Probably. Though I recognize the name, I never logged enough hours with them. Album art is in pastels as well. :shifty:

Asylum Party - Play Alone

Asylum Party - Julia going the full Val Doonican with the stool

Play Dead - Isabel because Asylum Party clearly own it.

Malaria! - Your Turn to Run when I was a wee lad I though Malaria! were just the fucking coolest girls on the planet and I probably still do.

And one I missed due being digital only

Jessica Sligter - The Endless End Panda eyed Billie Ray Martin goes Scott Walker amid sperlunking post punk dub caverns. And a great live version

Oh and I've had Soft Verdict ‎– Vergessen (Wim Mertrens) on a lot and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes stuff that's classical adjacent.

I'll go with ]Multiple 12(the early version not the gussied up later one I can't be doing with)

If you don't know it you might recognise Close Cover which came out as a 12 the next year which is track often heard in 'chill out' :k situations.
