This melody is fucking lodged in my skull! I love it. Conceded as shit, but this guy reminds me of me?

-But-

I've never regretted reading the wikipedia of a newly discovered artist more...let's just say he doesn't have a good answer to "where were you on January 6th?"

Like what? :fp:
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

Thanks bud! Hopefully I'll be less of a dickhead this time around. A lot changes in 12 years. Except my love for offsets - that's grown, not gone away :-*

This is pretty f'n brilliant eh, first I've heard it. I love the fact it has feel changes and at one point basically the whole mix is drenched in panning phaser goodness, all Itchycoo Park like, except different.

I know what you mean about conceited - I look nothing like him but some of my writing, that's the kind of spaced out quirky dreampop territory I like to be in.

Rare Bird - What You Want To Know

I love Steve Gould's voice, especially on this. Lotta soul and his pitching and emotion, it gets me. Rare Bird really got lost to time but when you listen to this you might wonder why - plenty of chops and songwriting nous here. Also I have it on the '76 album which starts the side with one of their signature songs, Beautiful Scarlet which is an absolute belter of a rock song, more Deep Purple than Deep Purple nearly. 💜

I can dig this. This guy's voice- it's so smooth- so dead on. Man, people had chops back then, and that includes engineers. I dig the jammy crunched out keyboard sound. One of my favorite bands is Quasi- so this tracks. It's all there, the voice is somewhere between Rick Danko, Phil Lynot, and young Elton John. Good stuff.
If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments.

The Shania Twainsaw Massacre just released their debut single. I’ve been a big fan of their demos and really with a name that good it would be wrong of me to not mention them at much as possible.

😊 It's cute how many people never left & still remember. I'm amazed I have 4,500+ posts, I can't imagine I'd have the time and inclination to do all those now ;D
