^^^ I'll have a listen to that.
Meanwhile, along with the Advisory Circle, and the new Gas album, Kamaal Williams - The Return was enjoying space on my turntable this weekend

A Flock of Seagulls - Modern Love is Automatic fantastic intro, great tune and some really nice guitar playing. Some real youtoob weirdos in the comments complaining that this was never a single and yet...I have it as a single with an odd collage sleeve with a guy in a suit holding up a black blow up doll!

I've got that in the pile, not got round to it quite yet but Mrs S (who is more jazz than me) tells me it's really good.

The White Screen - Hamem Oti Red Axes spin off. Was just ordering their new excellent single* which isn't out for a bit and decided to revist the album. Gutter twang goes hebrew.
*
The White Screen - Blue Blood
Johnny Jewel (with Desire) - Saturday Evening Jewel and Megan turn the dimmer low and make me swoon. Lots of great stuff on this anyway, I can't judge how it worked in situ as i couldn't get past Kyle Maclachlan's hair and gave up very early on.

Seen the flowers scream their joy.
I've got that on 12". Bought on a whim without knowing what it sounded like, but I like it.

Yeah it's a great song, mines a 12 too.
Out on your Own is another great single by them.

Friend saw
Sur Back and really liked them. "Breakbeat baroque-pop meets New Wave chanson + converses in fuzz guitar."
