Judy Dyble & Andy Lewis - Night Of A Thousand Hours Judy used to sing with Fairport Convention and this really quite lovely and reminds me of Alpha.

Judy Dyble & Andy Lewis - A Net Of Memories (London)

Trader Horne - Here Comes The Rain
lots in there for thirsty ears.

Not sure this is best placed in Song of the Day - though the song in question certainly qualifies - but I'm not sure it warrants its own thread....

I happened upon this series of clips where Tara Busch talks us through her remix of Bat For Lashes' Daniel and found it pretty fascinating. Maybe others will too.

^^^Interesting stuff. I love Tara who generally records as I Speak Machine if anyone doesn't know. There's a really great EP where she and Gazelle Twin cover two John Foxx or Ultravox! songs a piece.

I Speak Machine - My Sex

I Speak Machine - I want to be a Machine

The Gazelle Twin side is ace too and some may be interested int he contrasting treatments of the titanic He's a Liquid between this EP and the version she does with Wrangler (Benge from the Maths and Mal from Cabaret Voltaire)

Gazelle Twin - He's A Liquid

Wrangler Ft. Gazelle Twin - He's A Liquid

Fontän - Bardo (Mythologen Remix) the originalis an excellent track

Fontän - Gangri (Khidja Remix)

I'm quite into the host elpee's blend of prog, eastern delight, kosmik disko, Tosca-like beats and chest high bassed Japan-like moves, probably could have come out on Claremont 56.

Fontän - Fontän Mrs S play this a lot

My favorite song by my favorite Seattle band. That squashed glockenspiel just kills me every time.

Been listening the the last Virgina Wing record a lot this week. This time round they are less like dream pop Broadcast and pretty much in the same zone as Happy Meals to the extent I'd have a hard time telling them apart if I didn't know better.

Virginia Wing - Sonia & Claudette IMO the pick of the litter, gorgeous neon lit hunny.

Virgina Wing - ESP Online think MBV, Happy Meals and Broadcast at a bamboo house party!

Virginia Wing - Hammer a Nail

There's a few handy twists and turns on the record like Future Body which is like B*******t raving with Plaid.

Oh and roll on 8pm tonight! Tomorrow Syndicate - Altered State Glasgow's finest motorpoppers.

Raskovich - Coordinamento Sensoriale incredibly unsettling but immersive listening experience. Hard to describe but Mrs S got lose with a; 'sound like someone pouring synthesisers down a drain...in a good way'

Immaculate Rivombo - Mbira Girls just preordered this and only have the file but I'm loving it's hall of mirrors in the Congodisko moves.

Beta Evers & Heinrih Mueller- Innerhalb Der Zeit I'm delighted to see Beta and Gerald working together again, I adored the Zwischenwelt ‎ album. Beautifully cold in just the right way. :-[

Beta Evers - Hiding

Federico Leocata - Zunächst (feat. Beta Evers)

Doric feat Valisia Odell - Poets' Land

Cindytalk - Janey's Love sometimes you just want something that flays you alive in a spinning red whorl.

Cindytalk - In This World you've tussled with the beast, now lay down with the beauty. Perfect vocal.

Cindytalk - Memories of Skin and Snow It's incredible to me that Gordon doesn't sing anymore. He sort of feels it's unchallenging, since he knows he can do it but if I had a voice like that I'd never shut up. When Ancient Methods recently put out their guest vocalist EP, I was gutted that Gordon wasn't on it.

Cindytalk - It's Luxury never shreddingly feral and beautiful at the same time.

Cindytalk - The spirit behind the circus dream IMO an undisputable classic beauty.

And you probably need the big speakas at least as tall as fridge or a five yearold to do these justice

The Bug - Poison Dart feat. Warrior Queen

The Bug - Mi Lost ft. Miss Red

The Bug - Catch a Fire (feat Hitomi)

Give Me Strength - Neil Young
Hitchhiker - Neil Young

Off his new release of old acoustic tit-bits from the mid 70s.

Heaven, if you're as much of a fan as I am :)

Of course so much love from me, it's a beautiful version. Have you got it in your hand? I pre-ordered our copies and I was once again dismayed to get an email with them in stock before the preorders had even shipped,

Yes - last Friday in fact. Bought from my local shop who had got it in stock that day.

They should really send out pre-orders first, then send them to record shops.
