Eagles - Journey Of The Sorcerer

Went to see a local band do an Eagles greatest hits show, it was good but they didn't play this one.

Marie Davidson & Lamusa II - La Ecstase Some consumer advice in the unlikely event anyone in the UK wants to buy this. If you buy direct from the bandcamp you pay no postage and you get the So Right Extended mix and the Jon Talabot remix on the other side! However, you don't get La Ecstase in the zip file, you only get the So Right album version and the other two SO Right mixes. Still even so you're a coupla quid up (though if you already shelled out for the So Right mixes on digital..maybe not >:( )and you could perhaps even write off to Ninja Tune in green ink and complain about this breach of Bandcamp protocol and probably get sent a link to La Ecstase.

Anyway...this is a total joy and (whisper it) better than 80% of Working Class Woman

Marie Davidson & Lamusa II - La Ecstase (Silent Servant Remix) Juan Mendez is ON FYYA at the moment with the recent Harm in Hand 12" and a STUNNING new elpee out any day now which this remix sounds a close relative of.

Azar Swan - Silent Like a Father I really like Azar Swan but I didn't know this album was out until this week despite me getting mailing from their record label. Massive sounding record that flows from tracks reminiscent of Diamanda Galas and on to slo glowing baroque darkwave pulsers.

Zanias - Exuvia brimming with cold eyed sensuality

Zanias - Aletheia a vision of Darkwave Dune.

Blind Vision - Don't Look At Me (G-Mix) On total New Beat tip recently, if anything this was the sound of Acid and not the more lovey dovey lets all have hug (let's not) stuff. Samples from (I think) Hellraiser and Exorcist and I think an absolute horror disco fundamental and big influence of the likes of Antoni Maiovvi. IMO a total dancefloor Stuka!

The Invincible Limit - Push! kinda on the threshold between EBM and New Beat, a total pumper!

Keluar - Panguna (The Hacker Remix) best enjoyed stripped to the waist with your torso slathered in Johnsons Baby Oil.

Blondie - Shayla Wooo Eventide Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer...Debbie looks and sounds at her peak in this, radiating a sort of radioactive indifferent ultra glamour. Not many folk could totally own a jumpsuit seemingly fashioned from draw string garden refuse sacks and a couple of shouler pads. However things take a dark turn when she puts on that hat...NONONONONONONO! You don't put a hat on that head...you just don't.

Lina Tullgren - Grace

I'd been trying to remember this forever, I heard it at the end of a TV show a year or two ago

Silent Servant - Optimistic Decay (with Vocal by Carmela Lobo) the only thing that could improve this minimal masterpiece is doubling the length. A beautiful black sunrise. Just a fucking amazing record that spans all the dark disciplines.

Silent Servant - Loss Response Kinda like a a black tech early Dead Can Dance track with hovering sharpening steel synths burling above.

Silent Servant - Glass Veil

If you haven't heard it check out Juan's other project from this year the maximum EBM Sterile Hand

Ritual - Brides start running jaguar018 this minor Goth classik is packed with sexyphone.

Severed Heads -Exploring the Secrets of Treating Deaf Mutes masterful

Agnes Obel - The Curse (Robert Hampson Remix) this is fucking gorgeous, Mr Loop give Agnes a pillow of the softest snow to lay the magical voice on.

Antena - Frantz menthol cool

Yeah great choice Philip, you know I always thought that might have been an influence on AR Kane, the rhythms are kinda similar.

AMOR - Glimpses Across Thunder Post disco .O.Rang from Glasgows funkiest back streets.

Osynlige Mann - Airports imagine The Sisters of Mercy, Leonard Cohen and Andrew Weatherall on an awayday.

Stereolab - The Incredible He Woman So Aluminium tunes has been reissued and though I already had it, I thought it would make a good gift for a friend who'd done me a favour and by the time I looked at my discount and free post it seemed like the gods were telling me I should buy another one.

Pieter Nooten & Michael Brook Searching It's probaby not the best record 4AD ever released but it's almost certainly the one I listen to most.

Two Lone Swordsman - The Ghosts Of Dragstrip Hollow most modern rockabilly is embarrassing dressing up rhubarb. This isn't.

Two Lone Swordsman- Glories Yesterday

Can - Dizzy Dizzy (Noema's Cozmico Rework)

Inhalt Der Nacht & Echoes Of October - Die Liebe I could live without the rest of this digital EP but this totally hits the spot with it's perfect blend of Teutonic martial crunch and quite cuddly melody.

Laibach - Die Liebe :D just because!

Alive She Died - She's Lost Control wreathed in a hiss mist (originally a tape only release) but none the worse for it. Naive in just the right way, just getting down to business with no nonsense or desire to muso things up.

Zanias - Syzygy I really like how Alison/Zoe has kinda reinvented herself in a kinda Dead Can Darkwave manner
