Stereolab - The Incredible He Woman[/url] So Aluminium tunes has been reissued and though I already had it, I thought it would make a good gift for a friend who'd done me a favour and by the time I looked at my discount and free post it seemed like the gods were telling me I should buy another one.

Just bought the reissue, thanks for the heads up. I kick myself for not buying dots and loops reissue when it was reasonably priced. Now it's like $60 on discogs. Probably wait on the next reissue of it, sadly.

I bought the 2x12 preorder of the Boy Harsher elpee and i would normally hold off on the two track download but try telling that to a ten year old...

Boy Harsher - Face the Fire very nice halfway house between the cleaner production of Country Girl and filthy Juno pulse of Lesser Man. I love the subliminality of her voice that's generally just a breathy gasp.

Boy Harsher - Fate the coming album is really shaping up well.

Boy Harsher - Pain (for the millionth time) anyone into dark electronic music should hear this EP (Lesser Man) from 2014 (later re-pressed). When I first got the tapesome time in early 2015 I think I listened to it running for something like 6 weeks straight and even a few years down the line I still can't get enough of it.

Doing so much with so little, just a slack and yet crushingly repetitively relentless bass pulse and a crushed erotic corvid voice that exits like smoke, there's literally nothing to this but it's unrelenting genius. Kinda bizarre seeing this in the BBC drama Clique playing incongruously at a freshers week squares disco (and soundtracking a rape).

I met up with a friend at a Bauhaus gig last month. We discussed New Beat as he'd DJ'd a mix tape for me some 30 years ago and I've lost the tape. I'm pretty sure he still has the mix though, as he recorded everything on DAT at the time. Anyway, I've been listening to New Beat again recently as it's the music that took me from guitar based music to dance/electronic.
