Just bought the reissue, thanks for the heads up. I kick myself for not buying dots and loops reissue when it was reasonably priced. Now it's like $60 on discogs. Probably wait on the next reissue of it, sadly.

I bought the 2x12 preorder of the Boy Harsher elpee and i would normally hold off on the two track download but try telling that to a ten year old...

Boy Harsher - Face the Fire very nice halfway house between the cleaner production of Country Girl and filthy Juno pulse of Lesser Man. I love the subliminality of her voice that's generally just a breathy gasp.

Boy Harsher - Fate the coming album is really shaping up well.

Boy Harsher - Pain (for the millionth time) anyone into dark electronic music should hear this EP (Lesser Man) from 2014 (later re-pressed). When I first got the tapesome time in early 2015 I think I listened to it running for something like 6 weeks straight and even a few years down the line I still can't get enough of it.

Doing so much with so little, just a slack and yet crushingly repetitively relentless bass pulse and a crushed erotic corvid voice that exits like smoke, there's literally nothing to this but it's unrelenting genius. Kinda bizarre seeing this in the BBC drama Clique playing incongruously at a freshers week squares disco (and soundtracking a rape).

Boy Harsher - Your Body is Nothing

Popcorn Lung: A Polytechnic Youth Collection (vinyl only) has been rocking my Amadeus this morning.

Detox Twins - In the Deep Water minimal synth with coldly detached female German voice...they are totally playing my tune.

Kendo Nagasaki - The Pint Of No Return The name probably means nothing unless you're over 40, British and enjoy watching Grannies scream at fat men in leotards howling about how they want them to forearm smash the Giant Haystacks.

As for the music...it's a full motorikinglamtwist.

Linea Aspera - Malarone I came home to this being played at bowel rupturing volumes on the big gun system this morning by the ten year old pocket goth who couldn't even hear me shouting at her to turn it the fuck down. Thankfully the neighbours can't hear it, even if it's an excellent song.

Бassae - Untitled (side A) gaseous Russian gelatin lit dub. Only 100 of the 7" but there's a digital.

Jah Wobble, Jaki Liebezeit, Holger Czukay ‎– How Much Are They?

Robyn - Honey Robyn accesses her inner Winnie The Pooh. Gimmick free pop blissfully free of all that short attention span chopping and changing

WomenSaid – Soft Hell I was totally doing the glam hokey cokey to this earlier

Mindi Abair - I Can't Wait For Christmas

Leben Und Arbeiten - Amanita the soundtrack to Christmas round our way, not because it's feral twang is Christmassy but because I gifted Kreaturen Der Nacht to two of our guest who put it on a lot and secondly because our youngest has become TOTALLY obsessed with this song in particular, stretching even my obsession by playing it ten times in a row repeatedly.

East Eats West - Flicker slow week for new stuff but I saw this digital only fourth world Fry's Chocolate Delight when I was preordering the log(m) & Laraaji - The Onrush Of Eternity triple on the most wondrous Invisible Inc.

What Was Her Name - Dave Clarke feat Chicks On Speed I was totally doin' it to this on Hogmanay. Genius steals and all that.

Chris Carter - Variables from the unreleased section of the brilliant Miscellany box. Kinda Can outtake vibe for me, totally wondrous...ancient and modern.

Karen Novotny X - Brussels Expo 58 menthol cool easy motorikin' from the wondrous Popcorn Lung Compilation.

Public Memory - The Line

For me a great deal of the appeal of records is the continuity. One of the kids just put this on and it still sounds great near 40 years to the day when I bought it.

Cabaret Voltaire - Nag Nag Nag dance dance dance

My youngest has just played this ten times in a row and it looks likes she's going for ten more with the remix :w00t:

Soft Rocks ‎– We Hunt Buffalo Now think...roots reggae song from a Native American themed version of the Jungle Book...with a singer that flits between Elvis impersonator and ten bob Junior Murvin...yeah...really.

Soft Rocks - We Hunt Buffalo Now (Weatherall Remix) an awesome glam hokey cokey of a track for all your post modern line dancing needs

Btw the singer is Jorge Socarras of Patrick Cowley and Jorge Socarras fame where he sounds totally different;Patrick Cowley & Jorge Socarras Robot Children (Do You Love Your)

I met up with a friend at a Bauhaus gig last month. We discussed New Beat as he'd DJ'd a mix tape for me some 30 years ago and I've lost the tape. I'm pretty sure he still has the mix though, as he recorded everything on DAT at the time. Anyway, I've been listening to New Beat again recently as it's the music that took me from guitar based music to dance/electronic.
