The band with which I play drums (L'aurore et ses martyrs) launches a new EP on Saturday June 30 at the "Quai des brumes", 4481 St-Denis Street, in Montréal.... and the band with which I play guitar (Le mieux de la mort) is opening!

If anyone's in town...    ;)

I would love to be there for that .. Montreal's a great town. Playing the whole gig, you're gonna be pretty tired at the end of it!

OK, my French is pretty rusty but .. "Kittens Of Death"?? If that isn't a band name, it should be.

The name could be litteraly translated as "The Better of Death", which doesn't mean anything, but it's actually more like "the best part of death"... It's actually an expression referring to the short period of time when someone terminally ill feels much better, usually a week to a couple of days before death. That short period of time is called "le mieux de la mort". Is there an English equivalent for that?

Yes, it's the first time I do my own opening show...  But "le mieux de la mort" is only going to play a short set, so hopefully, I won't be too tired to pick up the drums for the main act.  :-[

Kittens of Death is an awesome name. Somebody needs to run with that one.

That's a cool name as well. I can't think of any equivalent expression .. the closest is you might say that someone who was dying would be having "periods of lucidity" but you could apply that to any similar situation I suppose.

I might be able to use Kittens Of Death myself .. !
