U2 video with lots of music heros+ very brief BASS VI footage

Post by RumorsOFsurF » Mon Feb 05, 2007 12:31 am

I saw this video on VH1 today for the first time.  Right in the middle, there is a little clip of a BASS VI...

Also, what appears to be a Jazzmaster... Not sure who the player is, though.

There are lots of great people in the vid, too!  A little Nirvana footage, Johnny Cash and many others...

the guy playing the jazzmaster is Elvis Costello. that's quite a strange video actually - some cool clips, but I don't really get the point of it.

I always wonder what the point of that video is. First they show tons of artists throughout the last 50 years performing, then they focus on the crowd and then they show poor people in Africa, are they suggesting that we're helping Africans by going to gigs?!  ???

maybe I'm wrong, but I think it's a very misleading video.

How could I not recognize Elvis Costello.  Especially knowing he has been known to play JM's.  It is a weird video, though. :-\
