Mix schmix.  I've got the Iggy one and the Bowie one, it's not the production I don't like. I just don't like the sound of the band very much. James Williamson's guitar technique just annoys me. If it was any other band I'd think they were really good, but if you compare the songs and the sound of Raw Power to Fun House...

Probably not very fair, though. I think Fun House is one of the great masterpieces of mankind.
Don't you know that's sinful boy?

hmm... maybe I'm a bit of a bad taster, but RP is still my favorite Stooges album.
anyway, who cares? Fun House is a masterpiece, of course (though a bit too
psychedelic for repeated listening to me).

I like them both..as I like the omonimous Stooges album..
I think that Raw Power could be compared to several other albums of several other rock'n'roll bands..but you have to think it's the first of that genre..and at least Search & Destroy and also the title track, Raw Power, are damn good..maybe the other are a simple variation on the theme of the rock song played on the "plick" "plick" piano...( ;D)

Yeah the piano I love sooo much. Toink-toink-toink. I got a version of "Cock in my pocket" that's so badly recorded,
you can barely hear the band, it's almost only Iggster and the piano, it's so much fun. Same as with some VU stuff.

I already gave my top 5, but I'll add Spirit. My parents had 'The Family that Plays Together' and I listened to it an awful lot. I might have to pick up a copy of that again.
Bigger in sum than parts.
