I think most of the people I'd like to see on that bill would be better in a club, plus I really don't like festivals.
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

That's great. I would love to see them live because I've never had the chance..daydreamdelay wrote: holy shnikes it's the jesus and mary chain!!
What's with Rage Against The Machine? I could care less about them these days but did they get back together? Perhaps the reunion is for Coachella only?

JAMC is almost worth driving down to the desert for! And Bjork. And Interpol...

I know I'll sound like a snob, but I don't like how Sonic Youth is printed smaller than Interpol, when the latter are not much more than Joy Division-rip offs (example: Leif Erikson=Decades) with a heavier, more guitar-based sound while I don't think it's even necessary to try and explain why Sonic Youth is better. But then maybe the fact SY never really had a hit and aren't one of the big names on a festival is more of a blessing than anything else.tremolite wrote: JAMC is almost worth driving down to the desert for! Overall it's a great programme, despite some flaws. (why the hell did they even consider inviting a talentless ****wit like DJ Tiësto?!)

...and Crowded House. Sans poor Mr Hester of course...
A great lineup! i wonder if there's anything more that JAMC are doing.

Honestly I don't get it with this festival... in the middle of the desert in the scorching heat and water costs a fortune. The singer in my old band worked the festival once and said he'd never go out there if he wasn't getting paid. Too many bands I'd pay not to see to make it even remotely worth the hassle. Past bills have been much much better it seems as well.
