Although I can't call it the best live DVD ever I just got a "Later...with Jools Holland - Even Louder" through the post.

I bought it purely for one performance. Desert Sessions featuring PJ harvey & Josh Homme - Crawl Home. I fucking LOVE that song. Those two make one hell of a double act.
Other good performances are : -

Kings Of Leon - The Bucket
John Cale - Venus In Furs
The Distillers - Die On A Rope
Queens Of The Stone Age - Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Pin
Screaming Trees - Halo Of Ashes
PJ Harvey - Who The Fuck?
Sonic Youth - Drunken Butterfly
You think you can't, you wish you could, I know you can, I wish you would. Slip inside this house as you pass by.

The Last Waltz (The Band with LOTS of guests)

Also, I don't understand why Led Zep would be a controversial pick?  I understand there are a lot of posers walking around in their shirts who have no idea who they are, but they were innovative and pretty great musicians, too.  They aren't my fav band, but I have lots of respect....
