Dry Cleaning - Strong Feelings
Well that was actually pretty good. Wouln't want to listen to a full album of the same thing, but would dig it if they played it on the radio from time to time.

As a slight OT: has anyone else noticed that bass (as an instrument, not just in the mix) seems to be much more prominent in today's indie/alternative than it has been in any rock/ish genre since I don't when? Trip hop?

As a bass player I’m fully on board with this. An interesting and confidently played bass part is a beautiful thing.
