That is awesome! As in, it inspired awe. Lovely. Man it almost gives me hope for humanity.

I saw them in New York last summer, half the crowd was parents with their small children! Really happy to see kids getting into punk music and making a pretty fresh take on the genre. A hell of a lot more attitude than most bands that think they're going against the grain.

I wonder when they get older....which is right now...if the the cute kid thing will wear off.

The novelty may wear off a little for some, but personally I think they're good enough to maintain a following without that novelty value. I'm a big fan of all-female/female-fronted pop punk bands and they're definitely a good one, they've got great garage band energy in a Shonen Knife or Muffs kind of way.

I look forward to seeing them evolve into cape-wearing prog rockers. :)

I hope this thought did not stop you from appreciating them? Does anyone remember Old Skull? They were great for what they were, and when they grew up it was a good bunch of memories.

Some of their stuff now isn't a million miles away from this, I think their bassist is doing her very best Kim Shattuck impersonation.

Maybe they'll go the other way and go full-on pop as they get older, like Redd Kross.

Ha I remember Old Skull and the ads in Thrasher back in the late 80s. As a 10 year old then I was hyped, but I don't think I ever actually heard their stuff until the later 90s when we found their last album in the cassette bin at the dollar store (along with other gems like the Repo Man soundtrack).
