Orange Juice

Anyone here know/ like this band? Their records are pretty hard to come by these days but I've been listening to them constantly for the last couple of weeks. I understand that they had a considerable influence on The Smiths and Belle and Sebastian...

Strange, I just discovered them this year, and you're right, they're great.  For a band that nobody's heard of, they do seem to have influenced evertybody from the Smiths to Franz Ferdinand.  If you can find "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever" get it.  I can definitely hear both Morrissey's vocal mannerisms and Marr's clean jazz-pop guitar stylings in there.  Fab stuff.

I love obscure Scottish bands, and OJ is no exception - definitely takes me back to the early 80's.  Some of you may remember Edwyn Collins post OJ minor hit "A Girl Like You" - but I don't know what he's doing lately.

Speaking of obscure Scottish bands, anyone know what happened to a band called APB, also from roughly the same time period (circa 1982) ?
I'm a reasonable man get off my case...
