Wow cool! Im on Oahu too, though I didn’t grow up here like you. I’ve lived way to many places to be from anyone place. But I’m right in the middle of the island in Mililani.

Cool. I know what you mean by not identifying strongly with being from any one place. I've lived in 4 States, one territory and 4 countries. After absorbing and incorporating the better parts of each culture (as much as I am able), every place seems small and parochial now.
I'm thinking of taking the family to HI next year. I haven't been back in 15 years or so.
But let's not distract too much from your wonderful record. I bought it and, amazingly, even my wife likes it. We have hugely different tastes.

FYI...I find myself listening to this album at least once everyday.
This will be part of the chill-out playlist in my ears as I'm flying to Anaheim for NAMM next week.
