Quite refined pop, and the production is really slick. Would be great if they follow through with a whole album's worth of material.

Come to think of it, I imagine that a lesser-polished version with live strings would have slipped perfectly among the tracks on Moose's quirky Highball Me LP.

This is great news -- Moose and Lush were big favorites. Now I wish Russell Yates would get off his duff and do something. AFAIK, Moose never really disbanded - unless I missed something.

the whole album is excellent. and the lyrics are pretty topical and challenging throughout, as the video suggests -
in the coldest night / huddled 'round the dying embers
