It looks like it's a loop pedal of some sort.
You see Adam playing something as they are setting up and then the loop kicks in and the next shot is of him on the wah pedal.
Around this time Adam was using and experimenting with Catalinbread pedals

Having seen them recently I was surprised at how much they could reproduce all the sounds on the recorded versions. There were parts I had assumed were overdubs that would just get left off live, but didn't. It sounded like there were four guitarists most of the time rather than two.
