"Marquee Moon"- Television

"Love And Happiness"- Al Green

Tied:
"Fiery Crash"- Andrew Bird

"Hoist That Rag"- Tom Waits

Got this data from my most played playlist on iTunes.
I've the same first two - Marquee Moon and Love & Happiness.

I think my third would have to be something by Nick Cave. Though it's by no means my favourite song of his, Into My Arms would have to be the third. That song has been a constant companion since I first heard it on late night radio around the time of the release of The Boatman's Call. It's been the score to countless loves and heartbreaks over the years, the first dance at my best friend's wedding, the song I somehow managed to pull out of my ass to play on piano in a bar on an island off the west coast of Ireland when stuck overnight due to stormy weather when I was (quite literally) three sheets to the wind and a song that to this day makes me stop and listen whenever I hear it.

Man ... to write one song that could have that effect, just once.

Sleep's Dopesmoker. Yeah, it's an hour long, but it never gets old and I make it through as far as I can each time I hear it.

Sometimes, by My Bloody Valentine. Just love the texture of those distorted guitars.

Love Will Tear Us Apart Again, by Joy Division. As perfect a post-punk song as there will ever be.

I'd like to meet whoever made the mix tapes for Guardians of the Galaxy--that's all the stuff I cut my teeth on.

The Raspeberries Go All The Way
Elvin Bishop Fooled Around and Fell In Love

and then maybe
Bad Finger Baby Blue and Day After Day (ok I'm cheating.)

The Left Banke Walk Away Renee...shoot so many. All I do is listen to favorites over and over.

Hard to answer this question because I usually listen to music like a kid eats candy, when I get something I love I gorge myself on it over and over until I'm exhausted, then I return to it. So, listening to music over and over is kind of what I do.

Lately I've been liking the newish Underworld album which has a lot of great songs on it, including this one.

I've been spending some time digging through the Gun Club catalog, I've been a casual listener over the years but have recently discovered that they have a million more good songs than I ever knew, and that Jeffrey Lee Pierce is a genius, and you can tell by this and this.

I guess I only get to mention three songs, and those are three of the songs I've been listening to for the last few months (and others by the same artists), I don't get a lot of chance to listen to music these days.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

I do the same. I'll listen to an album or artist almost exclusively, switch, and then go back. It's kinda fun when you enjoy stuff from an artist so much that you forget about everything else. When you go back to other stuff, it's like discovering it for the first time again.
