Post by stevejamsecono » Wed Sep 05, 2018 4:25 am

Hey OSG,

My band The Sharp Shadows released our new album this past Friday. We're a three piece powerpop band with a bit of a punky edge. I'm REALLY proud of this one and thought ya'll like might like to hear it:

For Spotify/iTunes/etc. : https://song.link/album/i/1418826371

For Bandcamp: https://thesharpshadows.com/

We also just got back from our first mini tour and boy is my head swimming with emotions right now. What a trip...

I dig it! I think the title track is my favorite.

We love that one too. The funniest thing about it was my drummer arranged it off an acoustic demo that sounded nothing like this. We later discovered that he had never heard New Order before and were somewhat astonished he'd come up with the ideas himself :wtf:

THIS ^^ :D
So funny, reading this now... it pretty much echoes the thoughts going through my head while listening. Nice, having the behind-the-scenes dish, hahahaha...

Thanks for sharing the tracks - enjoyed them very much

Yeah it's hilarious. He's an amazing drummer but he doesn't have terribly cork-sniffy music tastes, so whenever I bring up a lot of the stuff I like (70s punk/powerpop/post punk/whatever) he's usually not aware of it at all. He then heard Bizarre Love Triangle at his work a week after and texted us ".... welp, I get what you guys mean now." ;D
