Andy did you hear theNo Joy / Sonic Boom 12' that was out earlier this year. I really liked it, might be a bit disko for you but might not, in any case I thought it was the best thing he'd done in a while, possibly even as far back as Experimental Audio Research - The Köner Experiment but I'd admit to not following him super closely.
Totally off topic but check out the Tomorrow Syndicate, I think you might like them.

i'm super pumped for the new spiritualized record, you see I've always had a penchant for stoner-gaze music like spacemen 3 and the telescopes I just don't try to play that way on guitar though secretly i want to be playing that stuff

Absolutely! And why not?
I regularly listen to bands like Spacemen 3, Loop, Ultra Vivid Scene, Mary Chain, Suicide.....bands that I got into when I first started listening to music and bands that made me learn guitar. They made music I could actually play within a few weeks of starting to learn the guitar. That sort of music stays with me.

I learned how to play guitar from Spacemen 3... It's the only way I can play... If someone plays a blues scale my brain shuts down. My buddy built me a Vox Repeater clone recently so now I'm really set, ha

I taped the only Spiritualized show I have seen back in 1997. It is short and sweet. Available at my dropbox (link below) for a limited time.

Thanks a lot - And thanks again for your advice along the way! The new version features the original fuzz circuit and the treble/bass booster - plus a send/return loop to connect a wah where the 'palm wah' would sit in the signal chain of the old Vox guitars.PorkyPrimeCut wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 10:42 am^ ^ Looks great!! ^ ^

I'm also doing a limited edition with a NPN germanium version of the fuzz, finshed in grey 'hammer tone':

This is the first thing I've ever heard from them, and holy damn shit, I'm in love. I just keep replaying it. I'm in complete awe

That is amazing. Have any sound clips of it? That could possibly be just the thing for my bass rig...elektrovac wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 10:58 amThanks a lot - And thanks again for your advice along the way! Great to see this. What was your show, ADB? (SHort on disk space here).
I have seen a lot of good shows of theirs, including the Albert Hall. Vertiginous. I always associate that era with Jehova Kill-zone Julian Cope as IIRC some of the former's band joined the latter.
