Scroll down for the video. I thought it was interesting how good he could make it sound and how funny he looked playing it.

Also if you are close to Philly, Nels Cline is playing a special concert on Saturday focusing on music from Philadelphia, it should be good.

The older BC Richs are supposed to be pretty good, right? I’ve always been interested in the old double P Mockingbirds, but they’re way too expensive for me to take a shot.

Those old BC Rich guitars are cool in my book.

I've got a real jones for a mockingbird.

This isn't some old BC Rich, this is a newer cheap one that the Philadelphia Free Library has as one of the instruments you can borrow

Hipsters now flocking to lower wall hanger BC Rich guitars....salespeople are puzzled, but grateful.

Next we'll see Johnny Marr or Tom Verlaine playing some horrible shred machine ? ;)

OTOH it's great that a library would have guitars available to kids and others who can't afford them.

I think that's amazing. It reminds me of the library that has a complete modular synthesizer in its music room:

That's fucking cool. I never would have figured Lawrence, KS for a place where that would happen, but that shows you what I know about Lawrence, KS I guess. Man, this is a direction more libraries need to go in.

I agree. I love libraries already, but adding stuff like that to more of them, would be amazing. Even just the basics. I certainly don't expect that big of a modular synth at every one...

Kansas is one of four states I've never visited, so I know little about it either other than it being a recent laboratory for catastrophic GOP fiscal programs. But William S. Burroughs lived there for a long time, so that may say something about it. Maybe it's a good place to score heroin.

If you want to score heroin and get an instrument from a library then Philly is for you. We have the best heroin.

FYI he plays a solo on long lost psyche folk dental hygienist Linda Perhacs absolutely magnificent Winds of the Sky, which frankly makes me waltz through the bluebells in my robes. Not very widdly, which may or may not be a good thing for you (it is for me). I appreciate the guy can really play but he seldom seems to play on pop records I like.
