First dildos and now the bikini part of the Miss America competition is being taken away?

Won't someone think of the men?
When I read that i wondered if it had been dreamt up to preoccupy Trump and keep him away from anything dangerous.

:D I also wonder if during your Whitesnake gig experience most of the audience could imagine the day when a guitar forum thread could feature a band that has a topless man in tight underpants. I feel this is what those early shock jocks were warning America about during those halcyon disco sucks days.

A tariff on all foreign imported dildos
This makes a lot of sense, surely a lot of the old car component plants have the skillset. That's pretty much the plot to Kinky boots.

I mean, the idea that the Chinese should have the jobs of making this nation's large black phalli should concern every American. Those large black phalli should be made right here, in God's country, the United States of America, the greatest nation this world has ever seen, by hardworking white Christian Americans and no one else.

And no exceptions to this- I'm referring to both the more realistic versions of a black man's oversized phallus, the kind with the simulated veins and such, and the more streamlined kinds of oversized black phalli for the person on the go. None of these should be made carelessly by indifferent Chinese hands, they should all be produced right here in the heartland, hand-crafted by real, God-fearing Americans.

And if you agree with that, vote Trump.
Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Coupla new remixes out on digitool by DJ pioneer and edit meister Greg Wilson* and Andrew Weatherall. You can listen to them at all the usual streamy things I don't use or buy em at Bleep on FLAC and MP3 or your preferred digital vendor.

Confidence Man - Out The Window (Greg Wilson & Ché Wilson Mix) typical Greg edit

Confidence Man - Out The Window (Andrew Weatherall Remix) Weatherall sticks it in the freezer like vodka rendering it icy and syrupy.

Btw I am still in thrall of this album, played it so many times and still not sick of it in the slightest

Btw Heavenly signed a new band that have a similar joyousness to Confidence Man, called audiobooks.

There's a kerhacking (500 only) 12" out (and an elpee) with an Andrew Weatherall* remix of Dance Your Life Away which is like an away day with Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Quango Quango and Bow Wow Wow.

audiobooks - Dance Your Life Away (Andrew Weatherall Remix) the remix is like a collab between Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Quango Quango and with Pink Industry doin' the bass.

The still rather wonderful and delightfully bonkers original;she goes off on one about everything; Volcano fuzzes, Celine shoes, vaginal waxing and Dysons and Henry Hoovers...

*who also did the saucy remix of Confidence Man's Bubblegum and one of Out the Window.

At first I thought you were being sarcastic but THANKS FOR THAT LINK, I didn't know it was out. Now i have to keep it a secret from the kids for a couple of weeks.

No, not at all. I only just read this thread yesterday. It's really fun to listen to and I'm 100% serious. Well, 97.4%. I was frantically looking for all of their things to dope myself up with while I wait for my LP to arrive and that just popped up all fresh and shiny. It was a Christmas miracle!

Well that's probably ten percent at least more serious than they take themselves.

You might also like the audiobooks songs, not the same but similarly fun.

Dragging this one up from the depths to report that I saw Confidence Man do a sold-out gig at Saint Luke's in Glasgow last night. It was pretty much everything I expected it to be, and the crowd (a pleasingly diverse mix of ages and abilities) was well up for it. As David St Hubbins once said, "It's such a fine line between stupid and clever", and Confidence Man straddle that line and do all kinds of crazy dancing over it.
