Basically anything from This is Christmas by Tim Wheeler and Emmy the Great. It’s a really fun, ‘alternative’ Christmas album, would recommend it if you want something a bit different.
Christmas Day (I Wish I Was Surfing) is probably my favourite song on the album, but it’s very close with Don’t Call Me Mrs Christmas.

Re: Your Favourite Christmas Song?
Not really an Xmas song, but a paean to these cold Solstice days and nights delivered with more than a touch of Spector's Gift For You:
Dave Edmunds - London's A Lonely Town
and, from the afore-mentioned LP, a played-out but always sparky classic with backing vocals to melt the frostiest heart:
The Ronettes - Sleigh Ride
and, because, why not? It even mentions Santa!
Winter Song - Lindisfarne

Great stuff so far (fuck, that Antena track... )
From the Nanamour Coterie Christmas Mix:
For those who like a side of metronomic KrautBoogie sprinkled in with their egg nog, it's CAN with Silent Night!
And nobody can convey Yuletide cheer quite like Alan Vega: Suicide - Hey Lord

Directly addressing the OP, this has always been my favourite Xmas tune and one I often pick out on the geetar at this time of year (or any other). Even as a cynical teen, the Salvation Army Band breaking into this as a backdrop to the rampant consumerism going on all around could bring a tear to my eye.
A truly transcendent melody; here's a highly pretentious version, courtesy of two long-term faves of mine.

I really like the Unthanks version of 2000 Miles.cestlamort wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2017 10:45 pm
I'm still unduly fond of the Pogues "Fairytale" (aided by a bit of nostalgia of my mother requesting that I get "tickets to a Christmas concert" for her visit back when I was an exchange student in Munich. She liked the Pogues (as a folkie of the Weavers camp) so I dutifully got tickets to the Pogues Christmas show (with Joe Strummer). Not what she imagined...)
The Pretenders nailed the obligatory jangle melancholy
On the subject of Fairytale of New York, The Independent sent reporters out onto the New York streets to see what they thought ot the UK's supposed favourite Christmas Song. Funnily they seem to think it's morose and not 'peppy' or American enough but I sort of feel the opposite. I always felt it was repulsively jaunty and way too close to the cringey fiddle dee dee with plaintive penny whistle (or pipes) line they romp over in Hollywood films about the Irish or that awful US style St Patrick's day rhubarb.
I love the version of silent night by Graeme Miller and Steve Shill from the Moomins Christmas episode. Came out as a single last year and you can hear it in this beautifully charming and wise episode of the Fuzzy felt animated Moomins. Btw the amazingWinter Bonfire episode has astonishing music in it that sounds almost like Andrew Liles - The Great Beast In Outer Space.
btw if you are looking to get fired up for a game of 5 a side, may I recommend listening to Ed Sheeran doing Fairytale....instant sending off in the first minute.
