Re: New htrk on its way
Venus in Leo is out the end of the month be just bought the 150 ltd version. It's up at a lot of shops too, I got mine at Boomkat.
Loved both the recent 12's, Drama and Dying of Jealousy which were brilliant over both sides, with the A's featuring in the elpee.
I'd also say if you're interested in the broader HTRK family try to winkle out the three CS +.Kreme (Conrad Standish and Sam Karmel of F ingers) 12's.

Re: New htrk on its way
I mentioned Jonnines husbands band CS + Kreme (Kreme being ex F ingers with Carla Dal Forno) upthread and they have a really good new elpee out called 'Snoopy' which I think will appeal to many HTRK fans since it swoms in many of the same soundworld waters. It's got a beautiful sorta Edition's E.G. sound, a floaty discombobulated Jon Hassell Fourth World spirit that flows like a golden river into Talk Talk floodplains and onwards through a fogbank of Bark Psychosis dreamy disconnection. There's also foetid early Coil/Muslimgauze feel creeping into tracks like Blue Flu.
You can listen here; CS + Kreme - Snoopy
It's also very beautiful and carries on the very high standards of the previous 12" singles and his old band Standish/Carlyon
I've been playing it to death since I got it.

It's a good record, not a million miles from HTRK really but kinda Coil(y) in a way too.sammynb wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:23 amI think moving back to Australia and then the whole lockdown has shifted Jonnie musically.shadowplay wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:15 amShe's really gone the full Tracey Thorn
