interested in checking out what the osg community has been doing solo project-wise
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

I'll bite. I've been on and off again working on an extended suite of instrumental and primarily electronic music. I figure it'll be half an hour or so, maybe 45 minutes, and I'll write them out as individual songs each with their own sections and then I'll put them all together in the extended bigger piece.

This is an incomplete mix, to say the least, and not necessarily a finished song, but hey. Someone has to get this thread rolling:

Back in those days, everyone knew that if you were talking about Destiny's Child, you were talking about Beyonce, LaTavia, LeToya, and Larry.

Here is a link to an EP my old band did. Pretty straight forward rock stuff but it was fun at the time. I'm still bummed we never got to finish the album. Had some decent songs we never got to record. I am finishing up an album with the band I am in now (VERY slowly) & will post a link to that when we finish.

I have an ongoing thread with links to my stuff over the last few years.

Thanks, some of that is just me fucking around a bit, maybe a new instrument or sound or something. At some point, I'll set up some kind of "channel" on SoundCloud or maybe Band Camp for things that are more completed.

What's up with Band Camp? I liked Sound Cloud, but think it might be dying.

It always seemed a little more user friendly to me. I have a few friends that are in "real" bands & they swear by it. They also enjoy the monetized aspect of it while I'm under no illusion that I will make any money off music, I am just a hobbyist. Middle aged with kids & a full time job doesn't really burn up the charts.

I don't feel I'll be, either, but I do like to write music and want a place to get it out there. I would put up little demos and such on SoundCloud and people "like" them, and I only put them up to share with one person.

So who knows, maybe other people will want to hear it. I don't need any money or anything. I just like to write things.

I set up a BandCamp account, I'll have fun with that.

You'll have to tell me how to do that! ;D

In all seriousness, I've never really checked out soundcloud. It may be the better. I probably need to...

Well, I don't need any money from Band Camp! Looks like it's going to be having a fucking job from here on out same as it's been.

Lately it seems the sound quality on SoundCloud has gone down, no?

Has it? I just assume they are dying, they tried to be purchased by a bigger company, failed, and laid off 40% of their workforce. No way that ends well.
