^ Another goodie. The label site is only going so far then stalling at the PayPal stage, so I fear it's sold out now....

I emailed the label directly and they sent me a money request/invoice. They've also reported the PayPal issue (assuming it wasn't just happening on my server/browser), so anyone interested should be able to get a copy soon, if they're quick, or by going the same route I went down.

Sometimes my amazingly erudite sense of humor gets exactly what it deserves: NOTHING.
Speaking of nothing, I don't think I can purchase this album either-- not even digitally?

Try emailing ainalomallarec@gmail.com. There might still be some left.Jaguar018 wrote:Speaking of nothing, I don't think I can purchase this album either-- not even digitally?

There's a new Lake Ruth record out in a bit but in the meantime there's a really nice EP with collabs with Listening Center.
Intervention, Displacement & Return by Lake Ruth
You can get it as a tape and there's some nice covers on it which you can mostly get digital too.
Lake Ruth - Dry Salt our Hair (Le Superhomard cover)
Lake Ruth and Listening Center - Monstre Sacre (stereolab cover)

^ They sound alright, but I cannot forgive the singer her horrid incessant tremolo trilling.

Wow, they have a song on an earlier record called "Dr Snow and the Broad Street Pump"!
(For anyone interested, this refers to John Snow's discovery of cholera transmission by contaminated water in London in the mid-1800s. He was one of those amazing polymaths that seemed to crop up occasionally back then. He was instrumental in founding the specialties of public health and of anaesthesia - the latter by anaesthetising Queen Victoria in childbirth.)

The new Belbury Circle (Belbury Poly + The Advisory Circle = Belbury Circle) elpee 'Outward Journeys' arrived at Castle Shadowplay today bourne on a ravens wing. Really brilliant stuff, with a couple of collaborations with the fantastic mr John Foxx.
Only snippets to hear though.
The previous Bebury Circle ten inch Empty Avenues was a peach; Belbury Circle and John Foxx - Empty Avenues
I'm also looking forward to this lot getting a record out. OK they've gone a little heavy handed on the flamboyantly arch retrofuturist costumes but I feel if the record is half as tasty as the Fiat Dino it's going to be a treat.
