it's interesting to say the least. It's off my radar as i am driven towards more gnarly stuff these days but it is solid
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

My wife and I have been fans ever since we was them open for Broken Social Scene almost a decade ago. I'm a little "meh" on this album so far, though. I'll give it another several listens over the next few days. She's earned it on the merit of her last couple of releases! If you haven't heard Cloak and Cipher, you're missing out.

Enjoying this one so far. Haven't been a huge fan of theirs beyond their first album - but this one sounds solid.

Okay,
I've had a few more listens and I must say that it IS growing on me. The second track went from "meh" to "YEAH!" for me overnight! I'm just hoping she books a date or two near where I live so we can hear her lovely voice again. Also, I really dig her guitar playing live. She makes me want to play more.

Oh awesome! I'm really happy for some new stuff.

Swift Coin kept coming up for me on Pandora a few years ago, and I could not up-thumb it enough. I had somehow missed hearing them or hearing about them before, so I was both really surprised and really not surprised to learn about the connection with Broken Social Scene.

I like Land of Talk for sure, but I forgot about them. :-[

Has some Fleetwood Mac to my ears.

I always thought they had a bit of the Fleetwood Mac thing going on too! I love her voice!

My favourite 3 piece since Nirvana. Opened for them in Winnipeg in 2007 and 2008. Liz had a different band then, but her playing was still very unique and her voice is beautiful.
She's vicious on the guitar. All my Friends and Magnetic Hill alone made their first album untouchable riff wise. 2nd album was just as good. 3rd was a slow burner for me, but it was ultimately satisfying. I don't know if they'll go back to the Boo Cheer Applaud Hiss intensity at this point, but the music still does it for me.
She's the undisputed queen of the SG.
Det er mig der holder traeerne sammen.
