Yeah, it'd have been the 13th Note. Bad news about the amp - hope you got it all sorted.

New Dead Sea Apes album Recondite is out and handily gets all my years ration of distorted guitar in one place, which is what I call customer service!
It is 100% free of dudebro bonggobbling and sphincter tighteningly lame dope puns and in possession of a full imperial pint of stoic northern grit (in a dimple glass).
Lupine Wavelength is pretty nifty, with the lady of the house voicing her opinion that it sounded like Earth crossed with early Verve if they owned a Bullworker.

Re: The non-stoner stoner/sludge/doom/psyche thread
It's not 'heavy' in the modern parlance and it's mostly from before most OSGers were born but fans of 'obscure hard rock, heavy psych, and proto-metal from the late-60s & 70s', who don't fancy getting to get too far into crate digging will enjoy the 'Brown Acid' series of albums on Riding Easy Records. I imagine Mark/Porky has some of these and will chirp in.
6 of them so far, the latest being; Brown Acid "The Sixth Trip" which you can listen to and then check out the earlier releases. It came up on Spotify too when I was searching for the link and all but the first one are still available on vinyl if you so desire. There's also lots of other bands to check out on their site too.

Krauty stoner track from an Italian band:
https://soundcloud.com/aagoo/inutili-fr ... ain-master
No idea who they are, I just heard them on WFMU one day and really liked it.
Reminds me of this a bit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnQgKjdwc9A
both definitely psych/stoner, not sludge or doom

On the more funereal doom side of things, I've been enjoying(?) The Body's new one I Have Fought Against It But I Can't Any Longer. Cheery stuff, featuring Kristin "Lingua Ignota" Hayter on some tracks.
Bell Witch's Mirror Reaper is a similarly crushing experience.

seeing the computer black metal thread by wingnutkj reminded me to post this which I should have posted late last year.
Blackmoon1348 With The Tibetan Monks of The Tashi Lhunpo Monastery - Death & Leisure(Death & Leisure - curated by Oliver Ho of the most wonderful Broken English Club) 100% free of naff ganjaman references, puns or any of that shite.
Not so much Doom as Drang but I wholeheatedly recommend Slow White Fall also on Death & Leisure.

Really into this new Mako Sica record, devotional non-Stoner Stoner with Trumpet appearances akin to Jac Berrocal ( further in the Elastic Future).

Hangman’s Chair “This is not Supposed to be Positive”
Didn’t see them when I did a search. I’ll list them i this thread. Reminds me a bit of a sludgy Alice In Chains.

Guess it's been a while since a bump on this one; I've had Monolord's 'Empress Rising' album on repeat more times than I care to admit. I'm usually pretty stubborn in not looking for 'new' music (to me,) but I think I'm on a bit of a roll the more doom I listen to. Aside from that, after some initial dis-taste with Electric Wizard I found a lot of good in Witchcult Today. Trying to get into Windhand, but the singer seems to be too consciously 'bluesy' or 'soulful' or something.
(Also not a stoner; after multiple attempts in college, I think I am *actually* allergic to marijuana. I never bring that fact up around stoners, because I just get told I'm lying/doing it wrong.)

King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

Re: The non-stoner stoner/sludge/doom/psyche thread
Bumping this thread with a few recent purchase. First up is UMMON, by SLIFT, as seen in Budda12ax7's thread:
Also on Stolen Body Records and from France is Crystal Gazer by Karakara, and very much in the fuzzed-up-power trio vein, but with (entirely appropriate) added didgeridoo:
https://stolenbodyrecords.bandcamp.com/ ... stal-gazer
More trippy instrumental stuff, this time from Australia from Comacozer:
https://comacozer.bandcamp.com/album/mydriasis
And some female-fronted doom-tinged hard rock:
https://alunah.bandcamp.com/album/violet-hour-2
I saw Alunah supporting Nick Oliveri's Mondo Generator in Glasgow, which was the last gig I attended before lockdown started. Great night.

Re: The non-stoner stoner/sludge/doom/psyche thread
Right, since The Thing has Happened to The Place where I spent most of my time on this forum, I suppose I should attempt to post elsewhere. Doesn't seem like two years since I last posted to this thread, but 2021 was a strange year. Anyway, things I've been digging of late:
Devil Electric put their second album of female-fronted Sabbath-influenced doom, and very nice it is too:
https://devilelectric.bandcamp.com/album/godless-2
Margada are from Barcelona and have released a heavy-psyche concept album about a lost civilisation. I've got the green splatter vinyl, and it's a lovely package.
https://maragda.bandcamp.com/album/maragda
The Cosmic Dead have gone through another line-up change, and put out a solid 20-minute slab of suitably Cosmic Dead-sounding psyche.
https://thecosmicdead.bandcamp.com/albu ... hyperspace
The Body and Big Brave, who are both crushingly heavy and doomy in their own specific ways, have teamed up to release a collaboration which absolutely confounded my expectations, and is rather lovely:
https://thebody.bandcamp.com/album/leav ... mall-birds

The camocozer stuff is brilliant.
