After LES I've had no idea where she was gonna go stylistically, and that's exciting. I've seen some new shots of her playing sax, so I'm guessing she learned how to play it for this album much like what she did with the autoharp and the piano for LES and White Chalk, respectively.
IIRC she's played sax since her teens. All the parts on the last album were credited to her.

The Sunburst Jag from the Dry period was sold or traded to a London dealer in the late nineties. I think it wAs a slab board from memory. I gave it a go but it needed a refret badly - still had dribbling blobs of pint nail varnish on the back of the neck where (I presume her) she had made side dot markers stand out under stage lights.

Really? - I swear I've seen it in action since then with John Parrish playing it?

It was in New Kings Road Guitars, London this must have been around 98/99 and the Rick the shop owner said it was hers - cannot see why he would have said that unless it was. Perhaps it was on consignment and she took it back or maybe she had more than one sunburst? It certainly wasn't in great shape...unless you bought it because of the PJ connection there were other much nicer Jags in the shop at that time. I played it briefly and passed as it totally needed a refret. It had seen a lot of action.

**** just realised IT WAS NEARLY 20 YEARS AGO!! :wtf: ****

Fuck. I'd have bought it in a heartbeat. How much was it? Anyone know who bought it?

was gonna say I prefer her playing a firebird to an avri jag but whichever suits her best at the moment means very little, she is awesome whenever and wherever
I used to be cool, now I just complain about prices.

Well it was years ago and I was really looking at JMs at the time... Maybe £1500 tops. It really wasn't in great playing shape at that point.
