You should check out the DJ Storm (r.i.p. Kemistry  :() mix CD that comes with ATM magazine No. 74.  It's full of classic 90s hardstep.

1. Sleeping Lessons - The Shins
2. Vision of Division - The Strokes
3. Deadwood - Dirty Pretty Things
4. Van Helsing Boom Box - Man Man
5. Silver Rocket - Sonic Youth
or possibly Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Pt. 1 - The Flaming Lips

Personally i just like the bands i chose but those songs are on my favorites for the bands.
