It's down to either the Moog MuRF (great for alien reggae), the 3 Leaf Audio Wonderlove (awesome envelope filter that is made extra weird when you throw some time based effects in its effects loop) , or the Breakup Sex (a crazy op amp glitch fuzz I built from a Christine board).

I'm really into the Fender Phaser at the moment. It does a brilliant, deep psychedelic 'WHOOSH!'
But it's just stupidly large!

I don't own it but it's pretty wacky. Although stupid fake handclaps are still in modern music...

Re: Pick your weirdest pedal
In no order of preference:
1) Line6 Filter Modeler can make some upsetting/weird sounds as well as useful sounds. (Synths, filters and weird modulation.)
2) Sonuus G2M guitar midi converter paired up with a cheesy Yamaha keyboard is perfect for cheesy horn and string lines played with the guitar. The Sonuus can also be great used with "real" synthesizers. The only limitation is that it tracks monophonically and you need to play fairly cleanly on your neck pickup or it will glitch.
3) Red Panda Particle is great for glitchy granular soundscapes. Especially cool if you run a step sequencer into the expression pedal input.
4) Catalinbread Bicycle Delay is just odd. Pitched delays can do the Crimson/Gamelan thing and a lot more.
5) Boss Tera Echo does a mutant variation of delay/reverb. Can be subtle or soundscape. Extremely wide range of useful and non useful sounds in here. (I usually use it very subtly for a tiny bit of ambience.)
6) Dwarfcraft Memento is a killswitch pedal with a memory. You tap your pattern and the pedal remembers and plays it back. You can double and quadruple your playback time. This takes getting used to but is really cool for creating arhythmic trem patterns. This is great for guitar/bass/baritone and keys.
All of these pedals (except for the Sonuus, which isn't actually a pedal) are good for keys as well as stringed instruments. Check them out.

Re: Pick your weirdest pedal
this has some whacky delay settings, and sample-glitch stuff, harmonized bends like a pedal steel.
the Boss ME 30 had a ring modulator, you can tweak the frequency with the expression pedal, and set delay after it.

Gotta be my Z Vex Seek Wah I picked up as a used bargain find 10+ yrs ago ... very cool & weird and a thing of its own. I rarely use it but don't think seriously of selling it ...

Re: Pick your weirdest pedal
They really are good aren't they? I got hooked on them from using Amplitube which has a model of one, and I found myself using it all the time. I wish I'd known you were selling one coz I've just bought a second one! I didn't see yours unfortunately.s_mcsleazy wrote:i have one of these i'm trying to sell right now. one of the best phasers i've ever owned.electric12 wrote:I'm really into the Fender Phaser at the moment.
