How do you like your Meteore? I love Caroline pedals, I think they make amazing stuff, but when it had come out, I'd already decided and bought a Red Panda Context.

I absolutely love it and it now makes me wish every pedal had a havoc switch. It's hard to explain but it sounds unlike any other reverb pedal I've used. It's the type of pedal that could be used for Damien Jurado's vocals--it's just has this interesting ambient sound that differs from your typical reverb, which is why I have 3 flavors of reverb on the board right now (although the SST and Zoom might wind up alternating). It's super tweakable and you can get several different reverbs from it. I like it so much that I've started checking out their other pedals--the Kilobyte (don't need another delay right now, however), and the Olympia fuzz.

I briefly considered the Context, but couldn't afford it. I got a great deal on the Metore during the holiday sale from Prymaxe--$160 I think it was.

I'm probably not helping your GAS, but I have both an Olympia (Shigeharu version) and a Kilobyte. They both kill.

I bought the Olympia to replace a fuzz face and muff and it works great for both areas, but still it's own thing.

The Kilobyte is awesome too, probably one of the coolest pedals I've ever had, so I know what you mean about the havoc switch. It makes me very interested to see what Caroline will come up with next.

Also, I'd like to say that the enclosure they use for the Meteore and the Kilobyte is perfect: top jacks and not too big. That's my ONE complaint with the Olympia: no top jacks.

wow, 2014 was my last update to this thread. lets see what 4 years has changed:
new top 10
Supermoon Chrome
Walrus audio Julia
Mutron II clone made by pastrecedes
caroline kilobyte
IC muff clone(built by forum member, just dont know which)
Pedalworks texas 2 step
TC Polytune
Boss gr-20
EHX Pitchfork
Ibanez Fat Cat

I still have most of the pedals on the original list, but I ranked these by their usefullness, not value or coolness factors.
I wouldnt trade my Julia for anything less than an '81 turbo ZX and the ibanez fatcat has become my main dirt pedal. Glad i ended up getting the kilobyte but wish i had also kept my malekko 616 dark(i like being able to control the speed of modulation)
What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

If you like modulated delays, you should try an EQD Space Spiral. It has 6 knobs: 3 for delay, 3 for modulation. I usually have the modulation maxed out (all 3 knobs on 10), and it's epic: it actually speeds up AFTER it start repeating. Sounds SO cool.

Archer Ikon
Creation MK 4.23 Boost
Barber Tone Press
Tech 21 Bass Driver
Maxon AD-80
Boss PN-2
Boss RV-6

EHX Metal Muff
EHX Memory Man (Late 70's, blue typing)

Line 6 FM4
Ibanez TS9
Proco Rat (mid 90's)

Wow, lots of changes since 2013. The only pedal above still in use regularly is the Rat. The stuff below is what I us, most of the boutique stuff I have gathers dust when I’m not recording.

New list:

Xotic BB Preamp
Same Rat
Boss PN-2 Tremolo Pan
Boss RV-3 Reverb
Boss PS-5 Pitch Shifter
Boss RV-6 Reverb
Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man (even though I keep a Boss DD-20 on my board)
Boss VB-2 Vibrato
Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz
Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal

Loving Boss lately, even using a Jazz Chorus as an amp much of the time.

Not really ranked as listed:
Nocturne Mystery Brain: awesome pre-amp and RE-301 delay sim, only improvement I could ask for so far is an insert between the preamp and delay
Wampler Tumnus: Really a tough call between this one and the JRAD Archer Ikon and Rockaway Archer. The Wampler gets the nod on this list for me based on liking it a little better when dialed as a clean-ish boost than the J Rocketts
ProCo Vintage Rat: my 2nd or 3rd pedal ever, I use it w/ the clipping dialed back way further than I used to, still loving it.
Catalinbread Katzenkonig: Still love the Rat but not quite Rat thing it's got going
Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop/Modele B: my go to OD stacker and sag simulator, so good I've wound up w/ 3 (2 full size and 1 Modele B)
Fairfield Circuitry Meet Maude: It's dark and grungy but I just love it for delay washes especially w/ the Supermoon in its loop
Malekko Ekko 616 MkII: great meat and potatoes, bright BBD w/ a really broad range of adjustment, my Carbon Copy seems a bit more consistent, but the 616s additional features seem to give it the edge for me most days
EQD Levitation: great plate verb
EQD Ghost Echo: great sorta simple reflection machine, provides spooky ambiance w/o seeming like it's trying too hard
Chase Bliss Gravitas: still fully learning it but it seems to provide all things trem and then some w/ a great juicy, organic character and surprising ease of use for how complex it is

Honorable mention to the Stymon Deco, really nothing I thought I would ever need until I tried one. It's still too new to me to knock any of the others out of the top 10 at this point (just got mine in a trade over the weekend), but I love the tape saturation dialed subtle for cleanish boost and as an OD stacker when cranked up, and the delay side seems to sound great to me regardless of whether I'm shooting for straight doubling or slap, or 3D chorus, flange, or swirling roto-vibe-y sounds.

Also have to shout out to the Tym Double D, it's my favorite Muff so far, I just don't wind up using them much anymore
