Re: How Many Dirt (OD, Fuzz, Dist.) Pedals Live On Your Board?
4; all of them are self-built clones/non-clones
Superfuzz, for octave leads on the mids setting. I matched components when building so the octave sound is super-strong, but best when I turn the tone knob off (and makes odd combination harmonics/difference tones). Also has a feedback loop setting which is insane- makes sqeaks when not playing, throws the pitch across difference tones. And a non-octave mode but the other fuzzes cover it.
Rat, set to low gain overdrive/treble booster/nowave that changes the tone of anything its turned on with drastically (modded for soft clipping, assymetrical germanium-LED, a darker setting for higher gain, stock to LM308 rat otherwise.
FuzzWar, pretty standard settings of high gain, more interesting than a muff, close to a supa tonebender.
Void: heavy rhythm based sawwave/doom fuzz that's great with FX and chords (own invention, deviating from a Fuzz Face massively)
more drive? I'm using a Carlsboro Stingray and the Suzz setting on that is rather good, just a standard overdrive with a good 'breakup' and 'overtones' sound. 'normal mode' its just i'm rarely doing 'normal mode'.
I use 3 for bass:
Omni: larger version of the Void above. Just a lot more controls like Bias and 4-band EQ.
Nobels Bass Drive: I modded this to have more mids and LED clipping. Its deep and subby as heck but not tons of attack or detail when stock, like some one made a lead distortion for bass- the mods make it more usable..
Mooer Hustle Drive; OCD clone. Works well for drives. These were designed for bass or guitar with the LP/HP switch. No need for a clean blend and plenty of growl/ range of saturation.

Just two:
Sarno Earth Drive and a Rook Royale. My Wampler Paisley sees some time, once in awhile.

Lately it's been quite a lot of dirt and not a lot of anything else (just a verb and a delay, really).

I’m changing my board tomorrow for the first time in a few years!
Dirt will be:
Zvex Channel 2 (always on)
Way huge swollen pickle
EQD Gray Channel (a DOD 250 or equivalent must always be on my board!)
Way Huge Conquistador

Oh, how times change! Currently...
a single KLONe, set to clean boost
The rest is delay (x2), reverb, chorus (set like a short delay), looper, a freeze and trem.

Just a Timmy right now. I also used to have a Black Secret on there but I didn't really use it much so I replaced it with a compressor.
