Little Big Muff Review

Post by Pumpkin » Tue Feb 27, 2007 5:42 pm

What is it?

Duh!

What's cool about it?

Its so tiny for a Big Muff,it also has a more solid construction than a standard one.

How does it sound?

Not unlike her mom, just has more bass and sustain. The bass is a lot more "fuller",and present with this.
Overall it has more "guts" than it's mommy and covers most of her sounds plus has its own.
I don't own a vintage rams head bm but i guy i know does and he told me it sounds like that!

How would I rate this pedal?

10/10,but some might be disappointed by the fact that it sounds so similar to it's mom,I'm not tho! :)
I would recommend this over mom.
Bonus:Comes with EH DVD effects samples.

I have one of these as well. I haven't used anything else since I have picked it up. The best sounding bigmuff yet and it fits on your pedal board!
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

It's so tiny. I want one, not meant for moddin, but who cares right. Thanks for including a pic of the insides. Do you need to take the bottom off to replace the battery?
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

so you don´t think it would be possible to do any mods on one? i´ve been thinking of getting another muff to experiment with, since i´m happy with how the first one turned out. it would be nice to have a small one to begin with.

Pullover - Yea ya do.

It's the exact size of a sansamp classic ,looks way smaller tho, even next to it.

I was going to draw up a schematic for it but the size of the parts are barely visible so that wont be happenin! It's like nano technology or somethin, the diodes are smaller than a match head :o

Nah,jonas,i think it would be way to fiddly and yo would probably break something.....i would anyways.

Edit; I forgot to mention that this sounds cool in front of a NYC,both ON the sustain is like an electric violin on steroids :D

Times change.  Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky?  Now it grows hair!  We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger

I really liked the sound of it when I tried one out - I also like the fact that it seems a bit more sturdy than the standard BM - I found that I had to bend my NYC back into shape every couple of weeks :D
